The 2016 Pennyrile Stargaze will be held from October 1 to October 9. No preregistration is required, however, if you plan to attend please contact us on this FB page or at jsshirleysr@gmail.com telling us the number of days you plan to attend. This will help us with planning for the Porta Potties. Visitors are always welcome.... Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and friendly fellowship will be provided

Otwell Library Newspaper Article 12-9-15

Otwell librarian Emily Willis assembled this display of books about space exploration and astronomy. The library has formed a partnership with Mark and Marcie Miller, who have photographed astronomical objects, as well as NASA lift-offs. Their photos are displayed at the Otwell Library and published on their Red n Blue Observatory channel on the Night Skies Network.

Astronomy Day 4-25-15



Cloud cover started off the day at the museum. Then by early afternoon the clouds broke up enough that we brought our equipment out front for some solar viewing for the public. All in all it turned out to be not a total loss. Just a guess that 20+ people were able to get some views through the scopes.
